Morning Peeps,

I am just having a proud mumma moment that I would like to share.
My little BIG girl Holly ( who is 9 ) decided to do a layout over the weekend and used one of the sketches from STUCK SKETCHES - this is the current sketch over at the site

And this is the LO she created -

I did help her with a few techniques along the way but she executed everything by herself
Hopefully she will take after her mumma and have a love for scrapping

Hi Peeps,

Well I was not too sure how to tackle the current challenge at SCRAP THAT SONG because there were so many ROKin songs from the 70's so I thought the easiest thing to do was google the top 100 songs from the year I was born......and who should pop up? No one other than the great Sir Elton John

Crazy..........yep, just like me :) 

PERFECT

One of his songs in the top 100 from (gulp) 1976 was Island Girl

The first thing I thought of one one of my favourite pictures of Alecia when we went to Fiji in 2010 - crazily enough I was singing the silly song in my head the whole time I was creating the layout

January BOXX OF SCRAPS: New Years Eve Party - Neighbourhood Trick or Treat - Year One

Morning,

I was lucky enough to create the January Boxx of Scraps kit at the BOXX
I completed a few layouts out of the kit but the first one that I want to share is a double LO

I usually get positive feedback from my double layouts so I decided that I wanted to create something different for everyone who subscribes to have a go at.
The kit contained all sorts of yummy stuff from Jenni Bowlin, Manor House Creations and Bo Bunny

Break Up Songs

Over at Scrap That Song for the month of February instead of concentrating on the lovey dovey Valentines Day we decided to do the opposite............Break Up Songs

It is really hard to pick a break up song when you are happily married - so what does BB do? I ask my facebook friends ..... and immediately I get texts asking what's happened and an inbox full of messages 

( made me giggle ). The gorgeous Jess Mackenzie came up with P!NK's song "So What" and immediately I was like 'deerrrrrr BB she is your favourite singer' - so the song had now been chosen by the facebook gods.

Here is the song for anyone who does not know it ( I would be disappointed if you didn't ).......

There is a section in the film clip where P!NK chainsaws down a tree with her and her husband's name on it ( Alecia + Carey ).

This section of the video clip has a fond memory for me............it's how my gorgeous little ALECIA got her name.

My Baby Girl

It was my turn to set the FIRST Fortnightly Challenge for 2012 at the BOXX

My challenge is as follows - 

To use the word FIRST as inspiration - Considering it is the FIRST challenge for the year and it's also the FIRST time I have had to set a challenge
