Shining Star

I decided to have a go at the February Sketch Challenge at Scrap the Girls. This is the sketch -

And here is my version -

I used supplies from the January Book of You on The Boxx. The pics are of my daughter Holly on her first game of soccer for the 2010 season. She is such a girl in a man's world....

Licking The Beaters

I joined the Book Of You Kit club on The Boxx. My ever so fabulous bud Leanne Jago is designing for the BOY for the next few months so I decided to join to share in some of her talent. This is my take on her January Recipe Page.

Holly Loves Twilight

I doubled up on two challenges for this LO.

First challenge was from Show Us Your Stuff.
The challenge set considering its LURVE month was to scrap something with a handmade heart.

The second challenge was from my group Scrapper's Challenge on The Boxx.
Mazz's challenge was a recipe challenge and my oh my was it a recipe and a half.

Mazz's recipe was to include the following -

More than 1 photo
Yellow
Stitching
Stars
Circles
Brads or Eyelets
Ribbon, Lace, Twine or Fabric
Stamped Image
Hand Written Journalling
A Title with more than 1 word

Here is a close up of my Handmade Heart - I used a chippee, coloured it and dimensional magiced little red jewels to make it oh so *SPARKLY*

Circa 1967

For one of our Toowoomba Scrap Apple challenge's Michelle put forward a challenge that I really had no idea at all where to start - scrap a page with an OLD WORLD theme.....WTF is old world?
Graphic 45 was the first thing that came to my mind so I just ran with that and this is what I came up with -

Adam's Uncle Werner co-piloted the first QANTAS plane from Sydney to New Zealand on 6th April 1967 - that is him on the far left - the picture was also published in Pix Magazine {which i have no idea what that is by the way}. I searched on the net with the help of Adam's mum and found an actual picture of the aircraft -

Here is the journalling - and yes I know I cheated by not writing on it but I didn't think that I should be the one writing considering it is Adam's uncle and if I waited for hm to write something it wouldn't happen -
