Anyway.........

For September Spring had officially sprung here in the southern hemisphere!  And we had a sketch designed by Sue for you to work your magic on.

This was what I designed

The challenge was inspired by starsigns and bras.

Oh boy, this was a morning that I would never be able to forget

June....July and August

Happy Friday,

I've been a bit slack with posting (but who reads it anyway) ha ha

Anyway.........

For the month June we challenged you with Miss matched patters and colours that somehow were a style.  If that makes sense?!  Here is the inspiration picture....

This was my take on the challenge - I took this months theme of "Patterns and Colours" as a representation of "Mismatched" - some see beauty and others don't - a bit like life really - underneath the picture is a quote that represents how fractured moments shape us as women

The month of August was a colour moodboard challenge.  The colour moodboards always inspire a lot of people.
This moodboard is called "Lucious Lady" inspired by this image sourced from Pinterest.  The colours were very coffee inspired I feel...How about you?

This was my take on the challenge -

And now well.........it's August (who can believe that?)
This month Krisy has decided to be less restrictive and allow you show what inspires you.  This challenge has an theme but you have to decide what you want to do.  Its a little controversial now. So here is the challenge image, then I'll give you the run down....

So this months challenge....Be inspired by Instagram.  This can mean you can be inspired by the colours, the shapes, the square photo formatting, likes....What ever you want.  But you must tell us what it is that inspired you.

This months homegrown sponsor is HELMAR.  Yes the glue company.  This is one that every scrapper will benefit from.

As always Scrap Accent will be sponsoring an international winner.  Keep an eye out this month as we will be announcing the May, June and July winners and you will need to contact us via our Facebook page to claim your prize.  Don't wait too long or you will miss out.

I can't wait to see what inspires you all.  Remember you can link up via the link, send us a message via Facebook or tag us on Instagram - just click on this link

Happy Scrapping

Picture Perfect

Good Morning,

For the month of April the challenge could have gone any way depending on your interpretation and experience.

This was the challenge:

You didn't have to think too hard.  It was just to get you thinking outside your box.  The DT had a fair bit of discussion around the challenge and there were some very different takes on it.  This is where the interpretation comes in....Your past experience may have you wanting revenge or just celebrating being better than you were before.  But at the end of the day you are going to want to put your best foot forward.

This was my take on the challenge:

My beautiful now "16" year old daughter - as a mother I am always telling her that confidence is the sexiest attribute she can have, embrace it and always look good for yourself, not anyone else

For MAY........... we have slowed the pace a little and we have a sketch for you designed by our very own Sue Plumb.  Remember: it is all about your interpretation.

This month we have Cut to You on board as our sponsor.  Your can purchase ORIGINAL cut files to print on your own machine at home or you can order cuts.

As usual we have Scrap Accent on board as our International Sponsor.  Please remember that we can only continue to have prizes if we have sponsors.  And what keeps sponsors sponsoring?  That's right, sales and exposure.  So, please make sure you check out all our sponsors websites.

Remember to link up you can do it via the blog or share it to our Facebook Page or tag us on Instagram.

Mr, I am the Weirdo

In March we were asked to relive the 90's!
The challenge was to be a little nostalgic and we were challenged to be inspired by one of our Favourite 90's films.
This challenge wasn't about reliving old photos, nor about picking one of the films on the moodboard, rather it was about being inspired by the style of the era or the genre of the film and using it in a modern layout.

This was the challenge

And this was the layout I created

We ended up with 7 amazing layouts ranging from movies such as... Tank Girl, Mamma Mia, The Usual Suspects, The Silence of the Lambs, My Girl and First Wives Club.

For April it's all about how you interpret the challenge. It is just to get you thinking outside your box.  The DT had a fair bit of discussion around the challenge and there are some very different takes on it.  This is where the interpretation comes in....Your past experience may have you wanting revenge or just celebrating being better than you were before.  But at the end of the day you are going to want to put your best foot forward.

Get inspired today.....I can't wait to see what you all come up with. You can link your layouts via the Scrap the Girls Blog.

This months Sponsor is Charms Creations. Head over and check out what Charm has in store! Oh and follow her Facebook page so you get notification of her new releases.

Pretty Fierce

Back in February I was thankful to be asked to be part of the Scrap The Girls DT.

We had a moodboard colour challenge that was inspired by Constance Hall and her floral crowns and warrior Queen attitude.  If you don't know who she is, go and do a bit of googling or maybe try and get hold of one of her books.  She is raw, sometimes in your face yet relatable.  She has quite a following here in Australia and she is all about empowering women and supporting each other.  This was the moodboard…

We also had some especially designed acrylic and wood veneer supplied by one of the Sponsors Corbett Creations

This is what I created

We ended up with 16 very different, individual and amazing entries

For March it's a slightly different feel.........We want you to relive the 90's!  This months challenge is to be a little nostalgic and be inspired by one of your Favourite 90's films.  Create a layout inspired by it.  Now, this challenge isn't about reliving old photos (you can if you want), nor is it about picking one of the films on the moodboard (but you can if you want to) rather it is about being inspired by the style of the era or the genre of the film and using it in a modern layout.  When you link up your blog post (however you choose) you MUST share which movie inspired your layout to go in the running for a prize.

Here is the Challenge:

Get inspired today.....I can't wait to see what you all come up with. You can link your layouts via the Scrap The Girls Blog. Let's re-live the 90's together
